Trust No One

May 8, 2010

Trust no one, no thing

No man, no woman

Be wary of every pretty face,

gentle smile, firm shake and comforting hand

look closely at every glance away,

listen for every mumbled word.

Abrasions lurk under smooth skin

horns lay dormant under well kept hair

demons roam disguised as angels

feelings may grow strong with want and need

it will blind you and decisions will be made with haste.

Temptation is hard to conquer

You desperately want the sour to be sweet.

Trust yourself and no one else

or you will lay helpless from defeat.
